Matt began his career in the securities industry in 1991. He began his partnership with fellow managing partner Bill Thomas (Senior Financial Advisor, RJFS) in 1993, and helped lead MWT Investment Group LLC, which became The Wealth Advisory Group of DiLauro Wracher Thomas in 2015. In 2019, he earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® Designation, which empowers him with advanced fiduciary knowledge and tools to help serve their clients’ best interests. Matt was named to the 2022 edition of the Forbes list of Best in State Wealth Advisors and AdvisorHub’s list of 50 Advisors to Watch (under $1B) †. Matt was named to the 2023 edition of the AdvisorHub’s list of 100 Advisors to Watch (Over $1B)†.

His focus is to help clients gain confidence in their financial decision-making by listening to their needs and goals to gain a deep understanding of their situation.

Promoting education and helping in the community are top priorities for Matt. He is a past Board Member of Cornerstone of Hope, NW Summit City Rotary Club, Health Haven Nursing Home and Akron General Medical Center. He currently serves on the advisory board of Bullseye Active Wear. He also has served as a Revere School Board Member and Director of Revere youth football.

Matt’s approach as a financial advisor goes beyond finances to include a client’s overall life goals and how portfolio performance fits into that. He specializes in retirement and investment planning and implementation for individuals, families, trusts, businesses and foundations.

Originally from Richfield, Ohio, Matt attended West Virginia University, where he was an offensive lineman for the Mountaineer Football team and he had the privilege of experiencing the Sun Bowl, Fiesta Bowl and Gator Bowl. The Fiesta Bowl team competed for the National Championship in 1989. Matt lives in Bath with his wife, Mindy, and their sons, Adam, Sean and Bradley. He enjoys cycling, CrossFit and attending his sons sporting events.
